DESCRIPTION:

The Guardian Enclosure line one standard hinged cage that will fit most 1 ½” to 2” Backflow Preventers.

The cage is made with tubing, ½” diamond pattern expanded metal, angle iron, and rectangle tube, and

hinges. Tan or Green. Other colors available.

MATERIALS:

All hoops are 1 1/2” tubing, .90 wall 20’.

Body is 1/2” diamond shaped, # 13 gauge expanded metal.

Hoop strap is Flat 1” x 1/8” 20”.

Rails is 1”x 1” x 1/8” Angle Iron 20’.

Security plate is 1 1/2” x 3/16” flat 20’.

Security Box is 2”x 5” rectangle tube 20”.

POWDER COAT PROCESS:

Pre-Treatment:

Sandblasting and Deburring: Cleans and prepares the surface for better adhesion.
Enclosures shall be preheated and coated by electrostatic application of 2.0 to 3.5 mil thickness on all surfaces.
Powder Coat shall be GN 03 (Forest Green) and BG16 Beige (Desert Tan), or approved equal impact Resistant Finish.
Gloss finish.
Adhesion to be rated excellent when tested to ASTM D-3359 Standard.
A Zinc primer is also used to fight corrosion.
